Week 31: Blackberry Pie

Oh, summer fruit how I love thee!  Fresh blackberries picked the same morning at Homestead Farm in Poolesville, MD makes for a truly delicious pie, especially if you like blackberries, which I do.  My pickers got a little over heated, so we had just enough for pie and a little snacking but not enough for jam.  The pie was a good trade over jam!   This was yummy...nothing too fancy. I opted for a crumb topping over pie crust.  We ate it with ice cream.  JP and I loved this pie.  P liked it...said maybe blackberries aren't his favorite thing but thought it was good (actually really liked it the second night, as he nibbled out of the pie plate)!
