Coconut Cream Pie...please transport me to the tropics! This pie smells so yummy...instant tropical island images stirred in my brain and best of all, it was delicious! Another winner from Sweetie-licious pies. She hasn't disappointed yet. I find most coconut cream pies to not be coconutty enough but this one was superb. The recipe used cream of coconut (I didn't know this existed) and shredded coconut along with other things and it was yummy and coconutty and perfect. P declared it "the best" (he has said this about every pie he is currently eating) and we have enjoyed it. The boys were less sure and I think only B had a taste...they didn't like the appearance of toasted coconut on top...more for us grown-ups!

Week 6: Mint Chocolate Chip Pie
This was a mint chocolate chip ice cream cookie pie. An Oreo cookie crust, mint chocolate chip ice cream and Hersheys chocolate fudge over the top. Then, put in back in the freezer until ready to eat. Served with some whipped cream on top. It was tasty! The boys declared it "the best". The best part about it was how easy it was. It almost seemed like cheating it was so easy. This one was gobbled up in two days...the boys all had 2 pieces each at least.

Week 5: Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie
Another great pie! This one was from Our Best Bites...I'll add the link at the end. We all enjoyed this one. The boys declared it the, "Best so far." Eating it warm was like eating a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie right out of the oven in a pie crust...delicious! P preferred it at room temperature which was more like eating a chocolate chip cookie. Either way, it was yummy. Definitely extra good with whipped cream; probably would also be good with ice cream. Super easy and quick to fix; can't go wrong with this one!
